The Defence Ministry has already conveyed to the American side its proposal to amend the instalment payments schedule on F-16 jets, Defence Minister Jaroslav Naď announced at a press conference on Wednesday. "The preliminary response, unofficial at this point, is that they will try to accommodate this request, which would significantly cut down instalments for the F-16 jets next year. That would be really good news for the Defence Ministry," claimed Naď. The contract on 14 'F-16 C/D Block 70' jet fighters was signed in late 2018 by former defence minister Peter Gajdos (Slovak National Party/SNS).
