More than €76 million is to be distributed for the current four year electoral term from the state coffers for political parties that garnered more than 3 percent of the vote in the February general election, the Finance Ministry announced on Tuesday. The sum is €17.5 million higher than the amount distributed in the previous term. The biggest chunk, €21.25 million, is to go to Prime Minister Igor Matovic's OLaNO, which won the general election. This will be followed by Smer-SD with €15.71 million. Then:
We Are Family (Sme Rodina) - €7.42 million,
People's Party Our Slovakia (LSNS)- €7.24 million,
Freedom and Solidarity (SaS) - €5.62 million
For the People (Za kudi) - €5.21 million.
The following non-parliamentary political parties and alliances are also eligible to receive funds:
Progressive Slovakia-Together (PS/Spolu)- €4.39 million
Christian Democrats (KDH) - €2.93 million,
Hungarian Community Solidarity - €2.46 million
Slovak National Party (SNS) - €1.99 million
Good Choice (Dobra volba) - €1.93 million.
