If 'summer schools' open in the summer, they'll focus less on academic knowledge and more on behavioural education and social skills, Education Minister Branislav Gröhling (Freedom and Solidarity/SaS) has told TASR press agency. Summer schools will be voluntary for both schools and pupils. "We want to offer this opportunity to parents and children from socially challenged environments and for those who feel that they haven't received a proper education in the past months when schools were closed," said the Education Minister. Epidemiologists haven't yet decided on a schedule for-re-opening primary and secondary schools in Slovakia.
