Industrial producer prices in the EU dropped by 1.4 % on a month-to-month basis in March, the month in which COVID-19 measures were introduced in member countries. According to a Eurostat report, the drop was considerably lower in Slovakia, where industrial producer prices fell by only 0.4%. The year-on-year drop is 2.8% in the Eurozone, with Slovakia recording a 2.2% increase as compared to March 2019. Nevertheless, this represents a 0.7% drop as compared with February 2020 statistics, which showed 2.9% y-o-y increase.
