US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo has praised a step by U.S. Steel Košice that provided help to health workers in Košice region in fighting the novel coronavirus. "I am glad to see American private sector companies helping their communities, like this one in Slovakia," Pompeo wrote on a social network on Wednesday (April 22). U.S. Steel Kosice donated over €120,000 to two Košice hospitals and for producing protective devices for medical staff via 3D printing. The firm has also joined a project involving a lung ventilator prototype, providing the cover design and materials for its production.
