The Government wants to restore consensus on Slovakia's foreign policy direction, according to the new government's manifesto which Parliament will debate this week. It states that Slovakia must be a reliable, responsible, and predictable partner in European and international relations. It underlines Slovakia's Euro-Atlantic orientation, which "offers greater prosperity, security, and the common protection of shared values for its citizens." The government further wants to strengthen communication between ministries on European topics and to more consistently communicate the benefits of Slovakia's membership in the European Union (EU). Slovakia wants to continue its cooperation with the Visegrad Group (V4) countries, but notes that there should always be a constructive dialogue.
