Survey: Financial managers cautious about economic growth

More than half of all financial directors in Slovakia expect that this country’s economic  growth will reach a maximum of 1.5 percent of GDP this year, according to the results of a survey carried out by the consultancy Deloitte in several Central-European countries.

In addition, 60 percent of managers surveyed from Slovakia said that they can sense extensive external financial and economic uncertainty. The survey indicated that directors have been postponing growth plans, with nearly 80 percent of the respondents stating that now is not the right time to expose their companies to bigger risks. At regional level, financial directors from Serbia, Poland, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Romania have the most optimistic expectations for corporate growth.
