If a general election had been held in mid-April, the largest governing coalition party Ordinary People would have won it with 29.9%, followed by opposition party Smer-SD with 18.3% and junior governing party We Are Family with 10%. Moreover, as indicated by a poll conducted by the AKO agency, three more parties would have made it into Parliament.

Governing party Freedom and Solidarity would have taken fourth place at 9.7%, followed by the non-parliamentary coalition of Progressive Slovakia-Together at 6.5% and the far-right People's Party Our Slovakia with 6.4% of the vote. The ethnic-Hungarian Coalition earning, with 4.4%, would be the first party under the 5% threshold necessary to earn seats in the house, followed by non-parliamentary Christian Democratic Movement with 3.7% and governing party For the People with 3%.
