Interior Minister Roman Mikulec (OLaNO) apologised to the public for the gridlock caused by thorough road police checks on district borders on Wednesday, promising that the situation would not be repeated on Thursday. The police were carrying out the checks due to the Government's decree restricting the freedom of movement (with some exceptions) between districts due to the coronavirus. Prime Minister Igor Matovič (OLaNO) called the checks a "sabotage" of the Government's actual order, which - as he claims - envisaged only random checks.
