The Minister of Education will be granted the power to amend the dates of school admittance tests, elementary school pupil registrations and school leaving exams outside the dates stipulated by the legislation in specific situations, as President Zuzana Čaputová signed an amended education bill into law on Wednesday.
Meanwhile, since all schools and education facilities have been closed, the Education Ministry in cooperation with several NGOs has developed and launched a web page providing digital material that should facilitate online education. The webpage serves as an information platform, too, including all the important information linked to education in times of the coronavirus crisis.
Moreover, Public Radio and Television of Slovakia (RTVS) will expand the School Club, a 45-minute interactive program aimed at schoolchildren. "From Monday, 30 March to 3 April, the School Club will be twice as long and will also provide activities for second grade pupils," stated RTVS spokesperson Erika Rusnáková.
