Removing individual state secretaries and saying a definitive goodbye was on the program of the very last session of the outgoing government held on Thursday. The cabinet of Peter Pellegrini (SMER-SD) is set to resign on Friday. The opening session of the new parliament will take place on the same day, while the new government, put together by OĽaNO leader Igor Matovič, will be appointed by the president on Saturday. "I keep my fingers crossed for the new government. I firmly hope that the new premier is confident that each and every one of the people he assigned as new ministers are individuals capable of handling these extremely challenging situations," said the outgoing PM Peter Pellegrini.
