Slovak-Hungarian borders open for cross-country workers

The Slovak and Hungarian governments have agreed on maintaining the free cross-border movement of people who live in Hungary - up to 30 kilometres from the border - and work in Slovakia, and vice versa.
These people will need to show their ID cards and evidence from their employer at border crossings. They will not be subject to the mandatory 14-day quarantine. The measure will be in place as of Thursday morning and will be subject to further changes depending on how situation with COVID-19 develops.

Meanwhile, Ukrainian nationals with permanent residence in Ukraine will also be allowed to cross the Slovak-Ukrainian border on foot at the Vysne Nemecke crossing from Tuesday (17 March) until Sunday (22 March), the Slovak police reported.
