On Sunday, the Slovak Government declared a state of emergency for hospitals. Prime Minister Peter Pellegrini explained that this move does not mean that there is a problem in health care, stating that it has been introduced in order to allow transfers of staff and technology, while at the same time doctors and medical workers will not be allowed to refuse to work.
