Several foreign embassies based in Slovakia are informing their citizens about the measures they have to take if interested in returning to their home countries. According to Griffin Rozell, the US Embassy spokesperson, American Citizen Services remain open at the Embassy in Bratislava. American citizens, permanent residents and their immediate family members will be allowed entry into the United States if they choose to return. The UK embassy in Slovakia advises British nationals who would like to return to the UK, to make their travel arrangements as soon as possible. Direct air links to the UK from Vienna are suspended from midnight Monday. Flights to the UK from Budapest are still in operation, but there might be restrictions on the Slovak-Hungarian borders.
