Trade unions demand the cessation of production in large Slovak factories due to the spread of coronavirus. In a press release, the Modern Trade Union AIOS, which, among others, associates employees in Slovak operations of Volkswagen, Jaguar Land Rover, Amazon, Schaeffler, Eissman, Baumax, OBI, Syncreon and Hanon, perceives a very high potential risk in manufacturing, logistics and everywhere where a large number of people are still meeting in confined spaces, at the same time as the risk of their migration. It points out, however, that trade unions are not in a position to decide to suspend work at their locations.
