President Zuzana Caputova called upon the people of Slovakia to show self-discipline and restrict their social contacts to a bare minimum and also to be particularly mindful of the elderly. The President also urged politicians to set their personal disputes aside and join forces in the fight against the coronavirus outbreak. Caputova called doctors and medical personnel the heroes of the day, who work in the most high-risk environment. "I know that your situation is not easy and your equipment and protection far from ideal, but I hope that the government will manage to improve your situation soon," she told the doctors.
