The current situation regarding measures taken to diminish the impact of coronavirus in the country has resulted in a dispute between the outgoing and incoming Prime Ministers. According to Igor Matovic, the leader of OLaNO party which won the 2020 general election, the government has not reacted sufficiently and the Crisis Staff has no plan. Peter Pellegrini rejects the criticism and finds the statements of the incoming Prime Minister a "political theatre".
