7,000 face masks made by Slovak prisoners

Prisoners in Slovakia have produced around 7,000 face masks in the past six days. According to spokesperson of the Prison and Justice Guard Corps Monika Kacvinská, preparations for production were launched on 27 February, with actual production being launched at selected institutions on 5 March. A total of seven prisons are now sewing together the masks. It's expected that prisoners will be able to produce 2,400 face masks a day as of Wednesday. They are primarily designed for the needs of the Prison and Justice Guard Corps, but if enough masks are produced, it will also be possible to provide some of them to the state, added the spokesperson.
