Trade balance surplus of €27.6 million in January

Slovakia posted a trade balance surplus of €27.6 million in January, the Statistics Office reported on Tuesday. Total exports in January dropped by 0.8 percent year-on-year, while total imports increased by 1 percent. Exports to EU-member countries accounted for 86 percent of total exports. The most frequently traded products were machinery and vehicles, accounting for 63.3 percent of total exports and 50.3 percent of all imports.
