Seven confirmed coronavirus cases in Slovakia

As of Monday seven people have been confirmed as infected with coronavirus in Slovakia. Five are in the Bratislava region, one in Martin and one in Košice. As of Tuesday everybody returning from Italy , China, South Korea and Iran will have to undergo a 14 day long quarantine at home, the Slovak Government's crisis team decided on Monday afternoon.Those who do not respect this rule risk a 1,650 euro fine.

As part of preventive measures, the city of Bratislava has closed all its public institutions including museums, galleries, the zoo, libraries, swimming pools, tourist centres and stadiums, cancelling all events held in them for an unspecified time. As of Tuesday, all kindergartens, primary and secondary schools in Bratislava will be closed until the end of the week. Moreover, universities should be closed for two weeks. In the eastern Slovak city of Košice, secondary schools are to be closed for two days so far.
