24% lower average wage for women than men in Slovakia

Ahead of the International Women's Day coming on 8^th March, the platy.sk portal brought an analysis comparing wages between men and women in Slovakia. The data show persisting inequalities between their average salaries. They are caused by differences in career goals and in the positioning of sectors in country's economy. Slovak women earn 24.4% less than men with an average ratio of salaries of €1146 compared to €1516.
