The judges involved in helping crooked businessman Marián Kočner protect his business deals still have not been charged. This despite the fact that their mobile phones have been seized, their houses searched and their conversations via the Threema application recognised as evidence by two senates of the Specialised Criminal Court. "If we view the Threema evidence as a whole, it's credible, convincing and lawful. However, if only certain passages are extracted from it, it might be weakened in terms of argumentation," said Special Prosecutor's Office prosecutor Ján Šanta. "I think this is why the judges involved in these conversations haven't yet been criminally prosecuted, but I believe that they soon will be," he said.
The police have carried out searches of the houses of several judges, including Monika Jankovska, Andrea Haitova, Denisa Cvikova and Vladimir Sklenka, along with that of Norbert Bodor in Nitrianske Hrnciarovce. Their mobile phones have been seized as well.
