In February the index of consumer prices decreased by 0.1 percent year-on-year, according to the Slovak Statistics Office. The fastest growing prices on an annual basis were those in education, which went up by 5.1 percent, followed by prices of alcoholic beverages and tobacco, which rose by 2 percent.
On the other hand, prices dropped the most in the sector of housing, supplies of water, electricity, gas and other fuels by 1.7 percent.
