Drawing of EU funds for Roma projects reached 41%

The total amount of EU structural funds spent on projects for integrating Roma ethnics in Slovakia in the current programming period stands at 41 percent, according to the Government Representative for Roma Communities Peter Pollák.

In concrete numbers, it means €72.5 million was spent on 185 projects.  They include building modular schools and community centres, support for Roma civic patrols, and nursery-school assistants.  A total of €300 million has been allocated to Roma-related  programs over the next seven years.
