The Economy Ministry has launched the second round of the call to apply for subsidies for building public electric-car charging stations. Those interested in these subsidies have until June 17 to submit applications. A total of €650,000 is allocated for this purpose. Unlike the first round, which was only designed for municipalities, companies will be eligible for a contribution to set up charging stations as well. They can apply for a subsidy at least for one charging station and a maximum of eight charging stations. Any municipality that applies for a subsidy must cover 5 percent of the costs from its own resources, the rest being covered from a state subsidy, but up to €20,000. For companies, the minimum amount of support is €2,500 and the maximum is €10,000, depending on the number of charging points. A company that applies for a subsidy must cover half of its costs on its own.
