In Slovakia, the new nature reserves of the Rydošová and Vihorlatský original forest, which is already part of a UNESCO World Heritage Site, should be established. This results from materials proposed by the Slovak Ministry of the Environment in a fast-track interdepartmental comments procedure.
"The purpose of establishing the Rydošová Nature Reserve is to ensure that the conservation of three habitats of European importance and a habitat of one priority species of European importance is maintained," the Ministry said.
