Police and Europol experts are testifying at the journalist murder trial on how they extracted the electronic communications of Marián Kočner, who allegedly ordered the hit. The public is prevented from listening to their testimony so that it does not find out about how the police proceed when investigating cyber-criminal activities. The police acquired Kočner's chats, which were encrypted and sent via the Threema app, after Peter Tóth, a witness in the case and former Slovak Secret Intelligence member, handed over Kočner's mobile phone as well as his other property.
