President Zuzana Čaputová will respect the decision of Parliament concerning the approval or disapproval of the ratification of the Istanbul Convention. Earlier this week, Parliament's speaker Andrej Danko asked Čaputová to organise a meeting between her, the speaker and the prime minister. The president said she would gladly organise the meeting, "if this could help prevent the convention from being abused in the election campaign". The meeting will take place on Monday, overlapping with the upcoming gathering in front of the Presidential Palace, scheduled for the same day by the Slovak Convention for the Family who are protesting against the ratification of the international document.
