On Tuesday, European Commissioner for Home Affairs Ylva Johansson paid a visit to Slovakia with the aim of seeking common ground as a springboard for a discussion on migration and asylum. Johansson met with Interior Minister Denisa Sakova (Smer-SD) and representatives of several NGOs focused on human rights protection. "We should all sit down and find a pragmatic solution, anchored in a compromise acceptable for all 27 member states," she claimed. Both sides concurred on the need to handle the issue pragmatically.
