Light shed on Slovak public procurement

Results of an analysis done by zindex.sk show that Slovak ministries, state institutions and state enterprises take twice as long to procure goods and services as does the Czech Republic, and that they cancel every fourth tender. The results were published on Tuesday by Zastavme korupciu or Stop the Corruption Foundation. "We created Zindex to shed light on the basic data concerning what is done in public procurement," said co-author of the analysis Jiří Skuhrovec. The European Commission has evaluated Zindex as the best project of its kind.
