NAKA raiding houses of Trnka, Kočner and his firms

The National Crime Agency (NAKA) raided the house of former prosecutor-general Dobroslav Trnka, the house of crooked businessman Marian Kočner and the headquarter of his firms on Thursday, TV Markiza and TV Joj reported on their news websites. Kočner is currently on trial, accused of ordering the murder of investigative journalist Ján Kuciak as well as in a separate case of falsifying promissory notes worth about €70 million. Thursday's raids have come only a day after the police searched the home of Nitra-based businessman Norbert Bödör, seizing his mobile phone and some other items, but no charges were pressed against him. Murdered journalist Ján Kuciak reported on Bödör's business deals. On Wednesday police also raided the homes of several judges, including Andrea Haitová, Denisa Cviková, Vladimir Sklenka and former Deputy Justice Minister Monika Jankovská, all of whom allegedly helped Kočner in his business deals.
