Bratislava joined the worldwide celebrations of Ireland's cultural and religious holiday, with a historical hotel building on Hviezdoslavovo Square in Bratislava illuminated in green on the Eve of St. Patrick's Day.
Thus, Bratislava will join this year the dozens of locations all around the world that will commemorate Saint Patrick. The so-called Green Initiative on St. Patrick's Day began in 2009.
