On Tuesday, President Zuzana Čaputová accepted the resignation of Environment Minister Laszlo Solymos (Most-Hid) and appointed Transport Minister Arpad Ersek (Most-Hid) as his successor for the remainder of the electoral term. Solymos announced his resignation on 23 January after he got drunk with his brother at a Chinese restaurant in Bratislava the day before and became embroiled with restaurant staff.
