Opposition parties called on Parliamentary Chair Andrej Danko (Slovak National Party) to resign on Tuesday in reaction to his alleged phone calls with Alena Zsuzsová, who's among the accused in the case of the murder of journalist Ján Kuciak and his fiancée. "He should apologise to the public for lying and immediately resign from the post of parliamentary chair," stated Independent MP and For the People party vice-chair Veronika Remišová after the alleged communication had been published by several Slovak media. Last year, Danko stated that he didn't know Alena Zsuzsová and that he had never met her. At a press conference on Wednesday, however, he admitted communicating with her.
