60 percent of jobs in Slovakia threatened by automation

Around 60 percent of jobs in Slovakia are threatened by digitisation and automation and that's why developing skills is the best recipe for preventing this problem, according to Education Minister Martina Lubyova (Slovak National Party/SNS). A National Skills Strategy was drawn up for Slovakia by the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD). The OECD recommended that Slovakia should support lifelong learning and should improve cooperation with employers. Slovakia also needs a comprehensive strategy to stop the outflow of 'young brains' going abroad, as well as to attract them back to the country.
