The Government at its session on Wednesday proposed the recall of ten Slovak ambassadors abroad and approved the appointment of ten new ones following recommendation of Foreign and European Affairs Minister Miroslav Lajčák.
The Minister rejected all notions that the issue has been politicised. He added that the motion has nothing to do with the upcoming presidential election and fears that a new head of state might not necessarily approve the Government’s decision. Nobody has to be afraid that something murky is being plotted here, the minister underscored. No names of the ambassadors were provided.
