Almost 260 foreign nationals have been spending Christmas in Slovak prisons this year, TASR has been told by the spokesperson of the Prison and Justice Guard Corps, Monika Kacvinska. Out of the total number, 135 foreigners have been charged in custody and 122 have already been sentenced. Ukrainians have made up the largest group (54), followed by Czechs (41), Romanians (28) and Moldovans (27). There were also prisoners from other countries, including Sierra Leone, Syria, Nigeria, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Cameroon, Vietnam and Iraq.
