Voting from abroad: Applying possible until January 10

People who want to vote in the Slovak general election by post have the chance to apply until January 10, 2020. In order for the vote to be counted, the envelope with a ballot needs to be delivered by February 28. Therefore, the Interior Ministry recommends not to wait until the last moment. The option of voting by post is available for adults without permanent residence in Slovakia, but also those with it who will not be in the country at the time of election. The application can be found on the Interior Ministry's website. It can be send via post or email. People with permanent residence should send it to the city, town or village where they have their permanent residence. If the application is filled in correctly, the voter should receive materials at least 35 days ahead of the election. The Slovak General Election will take place on February 29, 2020 with 25 political entities running for the Parliament.
