Slovakia third in EU in living expenses

Slovaks have some of the highest living expenses of all EU countries. Ten years ago, they made up 14.3% of Slovak household expenses and now it is over one quarter, according to Lenka Buchláková of the Slovenská Sporiteľna bank. Slovakia is third on the list behind Finland with (28.5 %) and Denmark (28.1 %) and ahead of France (26.3 %), Great Britain (26 %), Sweden (25.9 %) and Czech Republic (25.2 %). Living expenses in Slovakia are to rise in 2020. Electricity prices are to grow by 8%, gas prices should increase by an unspecified amount, said Buchláková.
