The €6-million budget allocated for subsidies to purchase electric cars was spent within less than four minutes on Monday after the Slovak Innovation and Energy Agency (SIEA) relaunched registration of applications following a server collapse last week. With the interest among the public several times exceeding the budget, it was announced that 668 applicants who've asked for subsidies will receive financial support after meeting all criteria. The agency allocated €8,000 per fully electric car and €5,000 per plug-in hybrid car.
