According to the Google end-year report on the most frequently searched terms in 2019, Slovaks were most interested in Czech singer Karel Gott, who died this year. The top three most frequently searched terms in the country also included the 2019 Ice Hockey World Championship and the Slovak 2019 presidential election. Other popular terms were, for example, the Tour de France, Notre Dame Cathedral, the elections to the European Parliament and (now President) Zuzana Caputova.
