Volkswagen Slovakia (VW SK) has announced it is increasing the proportion of purely electric cars in its output, it was reported on Tuesday. The carmaker has set a goal to significantly reduce CO2 emissions both in its vehicles and in production itself, said Oliver Grunberg, the company's chairman of the board of directors. Volkswagen produced its first purely electric car in 2013 in Bratislava, and production has continued in the six years since then.
