Prime Minister Peter Pellegrini (Smer-SD) has taken note of Health Minister Andrea Kalavská's (a Smer-SD nominee) decision to resign, and says he'll soon inform the president as to whom he plans to replace her with, it was reported on Tuesday. Pellegrini at the same time thanked Kalavská via his spokesperson for the work the health ministry has done under her management. The prime minister is currently on a working visit to the U.S. Kalavská announced that she was stepping down on Monday. Her decision came after the Government on December 4 withdrew her hospital reform project from parliamentary debate.
