Slovak Deputy Foreign Minister František Ružička received the Diwali-Power of One award at the UN headquarters in New York, US. The award acknowledges his contribution to global peace and security, reported the ministry. František Ružička was Permanent Representative of Slovakia to the United Nations from 2012 to 2017, during which time he served as Chair of the Fifth Committee for the 69th Session of the General Assembly. From 2017 to 2018 he served as the Chef de Cabinet to the President of the 72nd Session of the UN General Assembly.
