The police are examining comments made by Smer-SD MPs last week in which they said that they agreed with the statements for which their party leader Robert Fico has been charged, said Police Corps spokesperson Michal Slivka on Monday. An investigator from the National Crime Agency (NAKA) pressed charges against Fico for what he said about the former MP of the far right People's Party Our Slovakia Milan Mazurek's conviction for his statements on Roma. Fico has been charged with defaming a race, nation and belief, for inciting national, racial and ethnic hatred and endorsing a crime.
