Parliamentary Chair Andrej Danko received on Thursday Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, with both acknowledging the existence of relations between Slovakia and Russia at several levels, and stressing the need to combat fascism. Danko said that Lavrov is a "close person to him" with whom he often discusses, for example, how to combat new trends. He mentioned, for example, the fight against fascism. The Slovak parliamentary chair added that in this context he assured Lavrov that he would not allow fascists to win Slovakia's elections. Lavrov highlighted the good relations between Slovakia and Russia, both at the level of foreign ministries and parliaments. In connection with the forthcoming celebrations of the Red Army's successes in the fight against fascism, he stressed the need to draw the attention of young people in particular to these events. At the same time, the Russian minister positively evaluated his visit to Bratislava. He is participating in the Ministerial Council of the Organisation for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) in Slovakia's capital these days.
