Slovakia is a country that is moving in the fast lane, Slovak Foreign and European Affairs Minister Miroslav Lajčák said on Monday, referring to Slovakia's economic development after talks with representatives of major French investors operating in Slovakia. “PSA Peugeot Citroen has contributed to the fact that Slovakia is a record breaker in the number of cars produced per capita,” said Lajčák.
Part of this success story, according to him, is investors from France. He added that the around 400 French companies established in Slovakia provide evidence of the favourable business environment. “With the accumulated investments exceeding €5 billion and with 50,000 employees, France is among the most important investors in Slovakia and at the same time one of our key trading partners,” said Lajčák.
