An investigator of the National Crime Agency (NAKA) has withdrawn charges against Jaroslav Naď, member of the opposition Ordinary People party. In the second half of November, Naď was charged of endangering classified information regarding the case of former Russian military intelligence officer Sergei Skripal who was the target of a poison attack in 2018 in UK. Naď said that it was a part of an effort to discredit him and that he had only "asked a question" that had not been answered. When charges were pressed against the member of the opposition, Prime Minister Peter Pellegrini said that Naď's activities were of a more complex nature.
According to the Police, the reason for the withdrawal is that the key witness has changed his testimony in the case.
