Stabbed Prosecutor found in Poprad

On Wednesday, Prosecutor Ján Škovránek from the eastern Slovak town of Poprad was found stabbed, though alive, and his life is not in danger. According to the General Prosecutor's Office, the law enforcement agencies are working with the version that he was not attacked, but rather caused the injuries himself. "We will provide no more information at the moment, as the case is at the preparation stage," reads the report of the General Prosecutor's Office. The emergency line 155 received a call on 8:17 am with the information that a man with a stab injury to the abdomen needed help. Initially, the media reported Škovránek's death, however, later the Police disclaimed the information. Ján Škovránek is the Deputy of the District Prosecutor in the Poprad district.
