The Ministry of the Environment has declared the improvement of air quality to be its top priority, reacting to a recent statement made by the environmental initiative Za čisté ovzdušie (For Clean Air). The statement points out the alarming current state of air quality in Bratislava with a high concentration of small particles resulting mostly from the city's infrastructure. "This has a serious impact on the whole organism," said Dana Mareková, a spokesperson for the initiative, underlining the importance of taking immediate action towards improving the situation and increasing the awareness of the public.
